As a foundation under public law and with more than 90 employees in research, administration, and science communication, the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt is one of the most influential institutions for peace and conflict research in Germany. To bolster our eLearning team in the EU-financed project “EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Consortium”, we are seeking to employ from the 16th of May 2024 or at the earliest possible date:

One eLearning Technician (m/f/d), part-time (50 %), in Salary Group 11 TV-H*,

until the 17th of May 2025 (acc. to § 14 Abs. 1 TzBfG**) in the context of the EU-funded project “EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Consortium”

Your responsibilities include:

  • Participation in the full overhaul of the project’s eLearning course material;
  • Collaboration with authors, the team, and external service providers on technological aspects.

As applicant, you should fulfill the following requirements:

  • You are a graphic designer with a focus on the technological aspects of the field;
  • You have experience with React, Gatsby or other frontend framework tools as well as with structured data (JSON, CSV, markdown);
  • You are experienced in the administration of Moodle or other PHP applications;
  • You can confidently work with programs in the Adobe Creative Cloud and can give videos their final touch;
  • You are used to agile management (ticketing system, etc.) and version control (git/github);
  • You are willing to research usage rights of provided material;
  • You are interested in peace and conflict research and arms control;
  • Good spoken and written command of English.
