The Forschungsverbund Berlin awards this year's "Marthe-Vogt-Preis" to the excellent young scientist Dr. Johanna Klyne. The award ceremony will take place during the Berlin Science Week on November 6, 7 p.m. at the "Haus der Leibniz-Gemeinschaft".

The awardee, Dr. Johanna Klyne, determined the geometric and electronic structure of biomolecules and their clusters in her work at TU Berlin. Her experimental methods are based on state-of-the-art laser spectroscopic techniques. Furthermore, she has carried out complex quantum mechanical calculations.

Every year since 2001, FVB has presented the Marthe Vogt Award worth € 3,000 to a young female scientist active in a field covered by one of the FVB institutes.
