Leibniz Institute for Farm Animal Biology (FBN), Dummerstorf

The Leibniz Institute for Farm Animal Biology (FBN) based in Dummerstorf near Rostock (Germany) is a foundation under public law and member of the science association Gottfried-Wilhelm Leibniz. Assignment of the institute with about 300 employees is basic and applied research in the field of the biology of agriculturally important farm animal species.

The Unit of science organization and public relations seeks a highly motivated

consultant for third-party acquisition (m/f/d)

starting as soon as possible. The salary is according to Tarifvertrag der Länder (TV-L) up to pay grade 13.

Reference number: 2020-10

Task Description:

  • supporting FBN scientists in identifying suitable calls for proposals in funding programs; with a focus on the EU's Framework Program for Research and Innovation "Horizon Europe"
  • support in the application processes, especially for general non-scientific matters
  • Participation in the implementation of the "Strategy for Knowledge and Technology Transfer at the FBN" for cooperating with the regional and international companies

Requirements:

  • committed and reliable personality with an organizational background who has already gained experience in the acquisition of EU projects
  • good knowledge of European Union research programs and their promotion mechanisms
  • degree (master or equivalent) in biology, agricultural science or related fields
  • excellent English skills in speaking and writing
  • good knowledge in the application of MS-Office products as well as image processing and graphic programs
