The Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics (WIAS) is an institute of the Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V. (FVB). The FVB comprises seven non-university research institutes in Berlin which are funded by the federal and state governments. The research institutes belong to the Leibniz Association.
WIAS invites applications for a
Employee in the field of IT (m/f/d)
(Ref. 23/22) (Head: Henrik Pletat) starting as soon as possible.
The work tasks include:
- support of mobile Linux based and macOS devices and their specific applications
- support/further development of the in-house data and information management system (including publication management and web server)
- purchasing of IT equipment
- participation in user support
We are looking for:
- completed bachelor's degree or degree from a university of applied sciences in a computer science related field or completion of a corresponding IT technical training
- preferable programming skills (Java useful)
- knowledge of directory services beneficial
- applications from young professionals welcome
- also comfortable working in German
- user-oriented communication skills
