The Leibniz Institute of Photonics Technology (Leibniz-IPHT) offers the following position (100%) in the Research Department of Nanoscopy starting earliest November 1st 2020:

Postdoc/Research Assistant (m/f/d)

The position is related to the DFG supported collaborative research center TR 234 CataLight (Project C1) and limited to June 30, 2022.

The Leibniz-IPHT is a university independent research institute with close connection to the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena and member of the Leibniz association.

Job description:

We are looking for a scientist for nano-characterization of structure-function relations of photocatalytic reactions. The aim is the direct, nanometer accurate identification of individual molecular components within complex systems using spectroscopic methods.

Your qualification:

  • University degree (PhD) in Physics/Chemistry/Photonics or comparable

Your knowledge and skills:

  • Experience in spectroscopic methods
  • Experience with chemical/electrochemical methods
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English

Salary:

  • German tariffs for public employees (TV-L)
