The Heinrich Pette Institute - Leibniz Institute for Experimental Virology (HPI), is committed to research on the biology of different human viruses as well as the pathogenesis of viral diseases (http://www.hpi-hamburg.de). We are looking for a highly motivated, team-oriented postdoctoral fellow with a PhD or equivalent degree in life sciences (biology, microbiology, veterinary medicine or medicine). The applicant should have key experience in viral research. Experience with small animal models would be an asset. Candidates should also have excellent communication skills and be able to supervise students and perform team-oriented as well as independent work.
The position is anticipated for 2 years in the research group “Viral Zoonoses – One Health” (head: Prof. Gülsah Gabriel) with the possibility of extension. Payment and social benefits will be in accordance with the regulations of the German TV-AVH (salary agreement for public service employees).
