Postdoctoral Researcher in the field of Molecular Biology (m/f/d)
for a fixed term of 2 years.

The applicant will work as member of our team, which collaborates as coordinator of the EU H2020 funded project BovReg within the global initiative Functional Annotation of Animal Genomes (FAANG). The Research Unit of Genome Physiology (head Christa Kühn) is internationally recognized for the functional annotation of farm animal genomes with a focus on non-coding RNAs. Specific tasks of the candidate will be establishing and characterization of cell lines from bovine tissues within an international team effort. Furthermore, the work will comprise characterizing non-coding RNA-DNA interaction, e.g. via Chromatin Isolation by RNA Precipitation (ChIRP).
The highly motivated and qualified candidate will hold a PhD/doctoral degree in (molecular) biology, biochemistry, animal science, veterinary science or a related field. Expertise in cell culture is required as well as good experimental skills in molecular biology. We ask for a team player with good English language skills striving for publication of results in international journals.
