Leibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry (IPB), Halle

The Leibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry (IPB) is an international research institute located on the weinberg-campus of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Halle, Germany (www.ipb-halle.de). The Department Biochemistry of Plant Interactions offers a postdoctoral position (research group Calcium-Dependent Protein Kinases) to investigate signaling crosstalk to combat plant attack through microbes and herbivores.

Candidates should hold, or be close to obtaining, a PhD degree in microbiology, biochemistry, biology, or related topics. Applicants should have thorough research training and relevant experience in at least one of the following areas: plant physiology and biochemistry, plant cell and molecular biology, microbiology. The successful candidate has demonstrated an ability to design and complete research projects, which preferably have already been published. Applicants should be curious, creative and be in command of excellent analytical and communication skills, including fluency in English.

Starting October 2021, the appointment will be initially for one year. Salary and excellent benefits (social and health insurance) will be based on German laws for employees in the public sector (TV-L E 13, 100%).
