The position is limited until the end of the project (31.12.2027)..Depending on the personal requirements and the assigned tasks, the grouping takes place up to salary group 13 TV-L. The position can generally be divided or filled part-time. The place of work is IDS Mannheim.
DataGEMS is a research data platform funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe framework program that brings together numerous international partners to share and make accessible digital resources in accordance with the FAIR principles of research data management. To improve the integration of data providers and data users, it provides heterogeneous data types in line with deviating user requirements by enriching them with powerful metadata, implementing cross-dataset and user-intuitive mechanisms for finding and analyzing data and formulating guidelines for their indexing. The platform will initially be set up on a testing basis and will include repositories for user types from the fields of education, meteorology and linguistics.
Tasks:
- Development of a pilot scenario regarding the use of the DataGEMS platform for language data
Requirements:
In addition to a doctorate in computational linguistics, data science, or computer science, ideally in the field of Digital Humanities, the position requires in-depth qualifications in the following areas:
- In-depth experience in handling digital research data
- Very good knowledge of using XML and TEI standards
- Very good knowledge of German and English (written and spoken)
- Strong ability to work in a team
