The Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy is a pioneer and a driver of bioeconomy research. We create the scientific foundation to transform agricultural, food, industrial and energy systems into a comprehensive bio-based circular economy. We develop and integrate techniques, processes and management strategies, effectively converging technologies to intelligently crosslink highly diverse bioeconomic production systems and to control them in a knowledge-based, adaptive and largely automated manner.

Specialist (m/f/d) for Research Data Management, Quality Assurance, and Scientific Reporting

Your responsibilities:

Research Data Management

  • Continued development and implementation of concepts for research data management at ATB
  • Supporting the implementation and administration of software solutions for research data management and electronic lab books
  • Preparation of information offers and data management plans, taking into account the guidelines of research funding agencies and relevant institutions
  • Advising researchers on research data management and how to work with subject repositories
  • Provide consultation for data protection-relevant aspects in research

Scientific Reporting

  • Further development of the reporting system at ATB
  • Integration of external research information systems and consolidation of internal databases

Quality Assurance

  • Support of the Executive Board in the further development of quality assurance at the ATB
  • Preparation, internal availability, and archiving of research reports
  • Further development of the provision of information at the ATB

Your qualification profile:

  • Master’s degree in an appropriate field, such as natural science, information/data management, or library science
  • Good knowledge of working with databases
  • Good written and spoken English and German; one of these languages at least at level C1, the other at least at level B2
  • Reliable handling of project management and office communication software
  • Excellent communication skills, flexibility and creativity, as well as intercultural competence
  • Goal-oriented and independent working, ability to work under pressure, and high sense of responsibility
  • Preferred additional experience in/knowledge of:
  • Agricultural Science
  • Own experience in scientific publication, including the publication of research data
  • Experience in project and data management in science administration
  • Administration of Linux server systems and Docker containers
  • Familiarity with open source tools for research data management, such as GitHub, GitLab, OpenProject, and RDMO
  • Software development experience
  • Good knowledge of working with sensitive data in the context of the GDPR

The salary is based on your qualification and professional experience up to TV-L pay group 13. The position is open-ended and is suitable for full- or part-time employment.
