The Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology (INP) ranks among the world leaders in research of low-temperature plasmas. At present, 200 scientists, engineers and other specialists are working on innovations that will be applied in future markets. The INP does application-oriented basic research and, furthermore, offer customized solutions as well as feasibility studies and consulting to the industry. The research topics are influenced by macrosocial issues and the needs of the market. Currently, plasmas for materials and energy as well as environment and health are the focuses of our scientific work.
