The 91 Leibniz institutions are divided up into five Sections with differing focus areas. Active knowledge sharing takes place both within and between the Sections which provide an initial overview of the Leibniz Association’s scientific profile.
Leibniz ScienceCampi promote cooperation on an equal footing between Leibniz institutions and universities in the form of thematically-focused, complementary regional partnerships.
Leibniz institutions form collaborative research networks which use inter- and transdisciplinary approaches to address current scientific and socially-relevant issues.
Depending on requirements, Leibniz institutions connect different areas of expertise in flexible structures in order to bundle potential and position themselves within the individual fields of research.
