Master Thesis Description
Lipids and Protein clusters are in the centre of many biological processes. In recent years, technological advances made it possible to identify and quantify lipids from cells, tissues and organisms in a comprehensive manner. Even lipidomes and proteomes of sub-cellular compartments are characterized. In the proposed Master project, we will investigate a new integrative approach to study membrane bound and/or integrated effector proteins applying biophysics, mass spectrometry and lipidomics. As model system we will investigate the secretory protein complex ESAT-6/CFP 10 of M. tuberculosis.
This project is a cooperation between the Divisions of Biophysics and Bioanalytical Chemistry.
