For the research group “Hydroclimatic Risks” PIK is offering a position as
student or research assistant. (m/f/d)
in the field of scientific programming and modeling, starting as soon as possible.

The position is funded for approx. 10 month. The hourly wage is with a Bachelor´s degree 11,49 Euros and with a Master´s degree 15,63 Euro. The working time is 20-30 hours per week.
The successful candidate will support updating of a hydrological model code with programming and benchmarking.
We are open to students from all academic fields related to natural and computer sciences. Students with experience in mathematical modelling and computer simulations will find it much easier to meet the requirements for successful work on the above topics. Basic requirements are good programming skills in FORTRAN (or similar) and preferably Python.
We are looking for a highly motivated student assistant for scientific programming in the field of hydrological modelling.
