The Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, the Bayes Business School, the University of Zurich, and the Leibniz Institute SAFE in coordination with Regulating Financial Markets organize and invite you to submit a paper to the
Tri-City Day-Ahead Workshop on the Future of Financial Intermediation
to be held on Sunday, 21 August 2022, at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Germany
Submission Deadline: June 15, 2022
Technological change, climate change, financial crises, and shocks to the real economy have triggered a rapid evolution of financial intermediation. Over the past decade, the regulatory framework was overhauled, new players entered the market, novel technologies were adapted, and demand for financial intermediation shifted in response to structural change and shocks to economies worldwide. This workshop plans to discuss papers surrounding the future of financial intermediation. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
• Climate change and financial intermediation
• Technological change and financial intermediation
• Payment infrastructure, sanctions, and non-financial risks
• Macroprudential regulation and the interaction between Monetary and Macroprudential policies
• Non-bank financial intermediation
PhD Mentoring
The aim of the workshop is to allow PhD students to present their research and to receive feedback from senior researchers. PhD presentations will be discussed by senior mentors. Accommodation will be covered; participants only need to cover their travel expenses.
