Quality assurance by Scientific Advisory Boards at Leibniz institutions
The work of Leibniz institutions is closely and critically monitored by their Scientific Advisory Boards. They regularly evaluate the respective institution’s academic performance. A special emphasis is placed on audits, which investigate the development of the working groups and the institute as a whole, concentrating on issues of scientific quality as well as continued structural development and focus. Audits should be conducted at least once between Senate evaluations and the findings are included in a report to the institution’s supervisory body.
