The GESIS AppKit, an innovative software solution for mobile data collection via smartphones, is now publicly available. It enables the creation of mobile surveys with complex, time-based playout plans and thus supports the implementation of intensive longitudinal studies in the sense of Experience Sampling or Ecological Momentary Assessments.

Researchers can easily create their own account and use the various functions of the GESIS AppKit to create and manage their own studies.

The GESIS AppKit offers a comprehensive infrastructure for mobile data collection and includes an interactive dashboard for study design and participant management as well as an app for Android and iOS devices for interviewing study participants.

The use of the GESIS AppKit is free of charge for non-commercial, academic research. Interested researchers can now create their own user account at www.gesis.org/gesis-appkit/register and gain access to the web interface and detailed documentation.
