The development and use of artificial intelligence and data science methods for accessing large and heterogeneous data sets is a central focus of TIB’s application-oriented research. The aim is to make knowledge visible, accessible and usable.

Core offerings include AI-supported digital search and analytical tools; services for managing and publishing research data; an open access publishing house; platforms for scientific films and Open Educational Resources; a conference recording service; and services for the persistent identification and reference ability of scientific objects by allocating them DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers).
