Communicating the knowledge gained by Leibniz institutions to industry, policymakers and society is a key aspect of the Leibniz Association’s strategic objectives. Leibniz institutions respond to society’s information needs and to topical questions. By communicating research findings to non-academic target groups, they play a significant role in developing society’s capacity to reflect and innovate. Questions generated by society are also integrated into research projects at the Leibniz Institutes.
Start-ups at Leibniz
Through its Start-Up Advisory Service, the Leibniz Association supports start-up projects initiated within the Leibniz Institutes. The Leibniz Start-Up Prize recognises projects with particularly innovative, viable business ideas.
Cooperation with businesses
Leibniz institutions are involved in a wide range of subjects. Our transfer services are correspondingly innovative and diverse. Leibniz Transfer acts as a first point of call and facilitates contacts with Leibniz institutions.
Leibniz Transfer funding programme
The Leibniz Transfer funding programme funds projects that intensify knowledge transfer from all areas of science to society, industry and policymakers.
