There is no central application process for PhD positions. If you have completed a master’s degree, you can apply directly to a Leibniz Institute that matches your research interests. Another good starting point is our job portal, where the Leibniz Institutes also advertise PhD vacancies.

Leibniz Graduate Schools offer young researchers the chance to complete their PhD in an excellent collaborative and transdisciplinary research environment. To apply, please contact your chosen Graduate School directly.

This online programme offered by the Leibniz Leadership Academy is aimed at doctoral researchers and postdocs in the Leibniz Institutes who are preparing for their first leadership role. The English-language courses can be completed at your own speed.
