Taking the lead

The programme is aimed at talented postdocs from all over the world who are keen to take on a professorship or similar academic role. As leaders of a Leibniz Junior Research Group, they are given the opportunity to pursue their own research projects and establish themselves in their field.

The Leibniz Programme for Women Professors attracts and supports internationally outstanding female researchers from all disciplines – offering them a secure professorship and a strong network.

Leaders bear a special responsibility for their institutes. The Leibniz Leadership Academy helps them shape their role with intention – through reflection, modern leadership knowledge and dialogue with colleagues.

The Leibniz Mentoring Programme supports female researchers on their path to a leadership position and enables them to build specialist networks and to take on leadership tasks with confidence.
